(ANTIGONISH, NS) The UNB REDS men's basketball team saw their five-game Atlantic University Sport win streak come to an end Saturday in a 103-76 loss to the STFX X-Men Saturday night in Antigonish.
Eden Otshudi scored a game-high 30 points, but it wasn't enough.
The REDS trailed 54-32 at the half and while they rallied in the second half, it wasn't enough.
Conner Landell scored 14 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, but the UNB bench contributed just five points.
DJ Jackson scored 28 points to lead the X-Men who got 16 points and 10 rebounds from Koat Thomas.
With the loss, the REDS are now 11-6 and tied for second place in the AUS standings with Acadia.
The league-leading X-Men are 14-3 and six points clear of the REDS and Axemen.
UNB's next action comes Friday when they're back on the road to take on the Saint Mary's Huskies. Game time is scheduled for 8:00pm.
