(FREDERICTON, NB) Hailey Jackson scored twice to lead the UNB REDS in a 5-2 victory over the visiting l'Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues, in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey, Friday night at UNB's Aitken Centre.
Both of Jackson's goals came in UNB's four-goal first period.
Mya Headrick and Payton Hargreaves also tallied in the opening frame.
April Reiner scored late in the second period.
Former RED Valerie Haché and Erica Plourde scored for Moncton.
Hillary Wood recorded three assists in the REDS triumph while Jorja Nystrom had two.
Hannah LeClair made 30 saves on 32 shots for the win in the UNB net. Moncton's Annick Boudreau faced 30 shots, stopping 25.
UNB is now 12-4-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL), good for a share of 1st place in the AUS, along with the STFX X-Women.
The REDS have now completed the 2025 portion of their 2025-2026 season and will return to action on Friday, January 9th (2026) when they visit Saint Mary's for a 7:00pm faceoff.
