UNB Red Advances To Philson Classic Title Match
(FREDERICTON, NB) UNB’s Red team will face the Dalhousie Tigers in the championship game of the inaugural Philson Classic women’s pre-season volleyball tournament.
UNB and Dal will vie for the tournament title at 2:00pm on Sunday in the Performance Gym of the Richard J. Currie Center.
UNB beat UQTR in straight sets in one of two semi-finals on Saturday evening with scores of 25-14, 25-21, and 25-20.
Dal beat Acadia 3-1 in the other semi-final with scores of 17-25, 25-20, 25-15, and 25-19.
The Patriotes and the Axewomen will contest the tournament’s third place game. First serve is at 12:00pm.
UNB’s Black side will take on Alberta-Augustana in the 5th place game. That goes Sunday at 12:00pm. St. Thomas and Trent will battle in the 7th place game, also at 12:00pm.
